Resume CV

Hi I'm Hui Guo (郭辉)

PhD, Computer Science, North Carolina State University

I am currently a Software Enginner at Quora, Inc.

I received my PhD degree in Computer Science at North Carolina State University in 2021, under the advisement of Dr. Munindar P. Singh. During my PhD studies, I worked as a research assistant supported by NSA Science of Security Lablet in the Multiagent Systems and Service-Oriented Computing Lab. I received the Outstanding TA Award in 2018, the Outstanding Research Award in 2020, and the Carla Savage Award in 2021 for my excellent work in the Department of Computer Science at NCSU.

I received a Master's degree of Science in Computer Science in 2012 from East Carolina University (Greenville, NC), under the advisement of Dr. Qin Ding. Before that, I received two Bachelor's degrees, Automation Engineering and Economics, in 2009 from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China).

My research interests include natural language processing, data and text mining, multi-agent systems, and social computing. My dissertation is about extracting and understanding events and stories for better software engineering.
